Chain of Jewels UI/UX Project

In this project, I built an example user interface for a game that was described to me in the GDD linked below. I then added new mechanics and updated the UI to handle them.

Feelin' Moody

For the project I built a mood board. It contained images for the color themes, visual design style and feel, and general UI look I was going for. I tried to use references that would be competitors in the space such as other mobile games.

A Title Says It All

This screen is an example of what the opening title screen might look like in the game, with colors matching the mood board. It features a jewel front and center which is one of the main focal points of the experience.

Go With The Flow

This flow chart details all of the potential actions that a player might make when using the interface of the app. This was useful for identifying all potential use states to ensure a complete solution.

Chains & Jewels

This is a sample of the actual gameplay screen. This screen is meant to showcase the visual scene of the character and the monster battling. It also shows the jewels below and some in a near chained state.

What Should I Wear?

This screen is a sample of the character management screen. It details the types of armor available and showcases, when selected, what armor can be equipped. In addition, the player can see their current health and stamina, which many change due to a new armor piece.
